Newly released BLE Micro

I'm quite interested in the BLE Micro, it seems it might fill my specific needs.

Few things I like about it:
- Incorporates ARM processor with usable GPIO pins
- Extremely small
- Ability to change output power

A project I've been designing for the past couple of months off and on requires specifically, short range wireless communication of small amounts of data realtime.

Can the BLE Micro be used as either master or slave?
Does anyone have the procedure of changing the output power of the BLE Micro? I need a wireless range of no more than at most 1.5 meters (just under 5 feet)?
